Victoria Talbot, president of Hype Inc., has over ten years of experience in the fashion and entertainment industries. She obtained a Bachelors in Communications from Saint Johns University in 1988 and was immediately recruited by Nightlife Magazine & Apres Events, a promotions and marketing company.
Within six months, Victoria was promoting several of the top nightclubs and restaurants throughout New York City. During this period she initiated many strong contacts with fashion models and industry professionals, which she still maintains today. In 1990, after encouragement from the industry, Victoria obtained financial backing and began her own modeling agency. She was only 24. She named the agency "Now Model Management" and within two years, turned "Now" into a million-dollar company. Her talent in communications and sales introduced her to all the top fashion clients.
A famous French family agency was interested in obtaining a New York presence and showed interest in "Now". After careful consideration, "Now" was sold in 1994 and word soon got out to top management agencies that Victoria Talbot was available. She received many offers and decided to accept a position with American Models in NYC. At American, Victoria opened a celebrity division that specialized in public relations and management expertise. Once again, Victoria achieved success by obtaining press hype for her new talent. After two years she decided to venture out on her own again. In 1997, she started a new company called Hype Public Relations & Marketing Inc. The company is currently know as Hype, inc. and is still going strong today.
Victoria has negotiated advertising campaigns and television commercials for fashion models ranging from $50,000 - $400,000. Clients include Guess, Victoria's Secret, Wonderbra, Salon Selective, Pantene, Express, Clairol, L'Oreal, Revlon, CoverGirl, Maybeline, Cacharel Perfume, Byblos, Calvin Klein, DKNY, Giorgio Armani, Polo, Ralph Lauren, Delias, Abercrombie & Fitch, Redken, H & M Department Stores, Playboy Magazine, Pizza Hut, Macy's.
Victoria has placed fashion models/talent in pictorials and on the covers of top fashion magazines throughout the world including; Vogue, Mademoiselle, Cosmopolitan, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, Seventeen, YM, GQ, Esquire, Maxim, Shape, and several other industry leading magazines. Victoria also books models for catalogs worldwide. Some notable catalog clients are Bloomingdales, Eddie Bauer, Talbots, Victoria's Secret, Warnaco, Macy's, Sterns, Nordstroms, and Dillards.
